Using an approach that was used in prior works, the photography series »Mnemonic machines« assigns complex world events to familiar household objects in order to appropriate and materialize them.
By coding complex processes into a single object and assembling these events/objects into a composite shape, the artist creates memory devices in an attempt to reflect on and process recent world events.
